It is amazing to think that we are only a few months away from the 2018 World Series of Poker. This will be the 49th Annual World Series Poker. The series of tournaments will run from May 29 to July 17, 2018. This year there will be 78 official bracelet events that have buy-ins as low as $365 for the Giant No Limit Hold’em or a one-day online WSOP.com Poker Tournament. The high entry tournaments include the One Million Dollar Big One for One Drop. $111,111 of the one million dollars buy in is donated to the One Drop Foundation. It is an organization focused on water initiatives and has projects in Central America, India, and West Africa. They are bringing safe water to over 300,000 people.

Aside from that, there is, of course, the $10,000 No Limit Hold’em Main Event Tournament from July 2nd to July 14th, a $10,000 Seven Card Stud HI-LO 8 OR Better Championship and a $50,000 No Limit Hold’em High Roller Tournament among others. For a cool $1500, someone can walk away with one million dollars in the No Limit Hold’em Millionaire Maker Tournament.

Those are just some of the high stakes highlights that we are looking forward to at this year’s upcoming World Series of Poker. All of the events will be at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino. The reason that the World Series of Poker moved its events from Binion’s Horseshoe to the Rio All Suites Hotel and Casino was because Harrah’s Entertainment acquired the rights to the World Series of Poker. In 2006, the World Series of Poker had 45 tournaments. Now there are 78 tournaments.
